Inspecting, removing, transporting and disposing of contaminated soil, including asbestos contaminated soil, is one of Greenworks specialities.
Greenworks are a WorkSafe Victoria Certified Class A Asbestos Removal Contractor.
Our team of machinery operators, supervisors and qualified labourers are skilled and experienced in the safe removal of asbestos-contaminated silt and soil as well as category A, B and C soil.
We hold licences and certifications including:

- Asbestos Assessor License
- Supervise Asbestos Removal Certificate
Our Certification enables us to provide 100% compliance with WorkSafe Victoria’s requirements which state that all persons on site must be direct employees of the Class A Asbestos Removal Contractor.

Stony Creek Footscray – Desilting Contaminated Soil and Waterway Improvement Works
Following the largest industrial fire in Melbourne, the Stony Creek in Footscray was contaminated with run-off from the extinguishment. Greenworks were engaged by Melbourne Water to remove the contaminated soil and to remediate the waterway. In conjunction with the EPA and other bodies, the contaminated soil was removed and treated on site for disposal
